Avivi described the deal, which deepens military and security cooperation and includes collaboration on regional issues such as Gaza, as a sign of a rising “radical Sunni axis.” He said Israel’s long-term security planning must account for the possibility of confronting organized state armies on two fronts, naming Ankara and Cairo as potential adversaries in the years ahead.
