The Global Sumud Flotilla set sail almost a month ago, with more than 500 volunteers from around the world. A peaceful civilian mission, it has now survived it's third attack by Israeli drones, this time in vicinity of the Greek island Crete. As the flotilla nears the final stretch of its journey, organisers say the boats are facing escalating attacks, from drone strikes to communications jamming. "Don't normalise this rogue, illegal and obscene form of violence," said American political analyst David Adler to MEE journalist Mathilda Mallinson. Despite this, participants say their resolve remains firm, saying that "there was no panic" and that they're happy and relieved to still be heading toward Gaza.
