A representative from the Native American community center said that last week, 85 tribal IDs were issued in just one day. Normally, only three or four are issued a month. “We’re not immigrants, we’re the first Americans here,” a Native American man wearing his ID on a lanyard said. “It’s just crazy that our people are getting picked up and thrown in a car and brought out to some federal holding place.
