Director of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights Raji Sourani expressed that the sanctions contradict "the justice and dignity of man", and that the move has already caused partner organisations to withdraw their support due to financial threats and possible imprisonment. Similarly, Shawan Jabarin, general director of Al-Haq, highlighted how the exit of donors means "45 families without incomes, in Palestine and elsewhere." The Palestinian Center for Human Rights and Al-Haq, alongside Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, were sanctioned by in September by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, for engaging in "efforts by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute Israeli nationals, without Israel’s consent."
